Rewind back the years –(Hifu) High intensity focused ultrasound.
The natural aging process takes its toll on everyone leading to skin sagging and laxity that looks (and feels) overcome by the pull of gravity.
Hifu treats areas and skin troubles that were previously considered ‘untouchable’ without surgery.
With the support of ultrasound technology, deep collagen production smooths, tightens and lifts the skin for a more youthful look instantly & over time. It’s a natural lift for a new you.
This treatment is the next generation in advanced non surgical face lift treatments for the face, neck & chest.
HIFU works by targeting the deep structural layer of the skin that other treatments cannot by accelerating the body’s own healing process in the face and neck areas.
This stimulates sagging skin to tighten resulting in lifting & tightening of the skin.
HIFU achieves amazing visible lasting results NATURALLY.
FAQS
What is HIFU?
Hifu is a non-surgical treatment that uses HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) technology to tighten and lift facial and body skin. This micro-focused ultrasound treatment can effectively combat signs of aging and troublesome skin laxity to create a youthful appearance on the face and body.
How does the HIFU work?
HIFU effectively treats the superficial and deeper skin layers, as well as the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS) with a triple layer lifting effect. The treatment heats up and stimulates existing collagen fibres, causing them to thicken and shorting giving you a long-term tightening and lifting effect.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound is currently the only non-invasive medical device that allows the deepest penetration of energy, targeting depths of 1.5mm, 3mm and 4.5mm, for skin lifting and tightening.
3mm depth
At 3mm, the heating of skin tissue is targeted mainly at skin tightening. Radiofrequency procedures, like Thermage and the Venus Viva Nanofractional RF, are often used for skin tightening via heating the skin. The HIFU is also able target this depth, where structural collagen is situated, and deliver precise energy to stimulate collagen production.
4.5mmdepth
4.5mm is where the lifting effect takes place. The Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS) is usually situated at this depth. This is the layer surgeons tighten when performing a surgical face lift. This means stimulation and tightening of the SMAS layer with the HIFU will provide excellent lifting results.
THE HIFU GLOW
1.5mm depth
At this depth HIFU WORKS ITS MAGIC, the High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound is able to lighten Pigmentation,Plump Skin Reduce Acne, Skin redness and Brighten the skin. The amount of melanin in the skin will reduce by a fair amount.
What is the procedure like?
The Hifu is a comfortable procedure. Patients might feel a mild ache along bony areas, like the jawline. This is due to the ultrasound energy reflecting off the facial contours.
Hifu takes approximately 60 minutes and has minimal downtime. Your skin may appear slightly flushed immediately after the treatment, but any redness will subside within a few hours.
Why do HIFU with us?
At most clinics, skin tightening and facial lifts are standardised procedures. We believe that facial rejuvenation needs to be individualised, from laser procedures to HIFU face lifts. What would be an ideal approach for one patient is not necessarily the same for someone else. During consultation, our Dermal clinician will perform a close examination of your face, to help you better understand which areas of the face can benefit most from HIFU.
How often can i have it done?
To get long-lasting results, we recommend two HIFU treatments in the first year spaced six months apart. You can then get one treatment a year afterwards to maintain the results of the treatment. For trickier areas, you may need a few extra treatments 3 months after the first treatment
Choose the right HIFU
There are only a handful of TGA (Therapeutic goods administration)-approved HIFU procedures that are certified to be operated by trained clinicians. Although many beauty salons also offer ‘HIFU’ procedures, these procedures or machines are not medical grade or HSA-approved for medical use by a trained professional. A HIFU procedure performed at beauty salons might not only yield unsatisfactory results, but could also cause more damage than benefits if performed incorrectly.
The HIFU procedure in our clinic is done with a Second Generation Megacell. Pure skin + Clinic preference for using this HIFU stems down to its effectiveness, safety and it being the most popular HIFU procedure in the world.
